Thanks for the link; those geeks always give great advice. I love the video that shows the different resolution levels. One thing they didn’t mention about LCD/LED TVs is that since they emit light, they can cause interference with IR (infrared) remotes. Though most people don’t know about it, it’s a common occurrence. I work for DISH so I know a lot about gadgets related to TVs. One way to get around IR interference with LCD/LED TVs is by using a UHF (ultra high frequency) remote. A UHF remote doesn’t use light to communicate like IR remotes do so won’t get any interference unless you have a game console nearby with wireless controls using the same frequency. I have a Samsung 51” plasma screen and just love it. I would hate to let it go to waste but also think it’s ridiculous to have to pay more for HD programming. Thankfully, I don’t have to since I have DISH and they are the only company to offer the lowest prices with HD Free for Life. I’m glad to not have to pay extra to get the most out of my TV.
